Wash: I didn't think you were one for rituals and such. Mal: I'm not, but it'll keep the others busy for a while. No reason to concern them with what's to be done.

Good luck Jesse.

Ack, one of my co-workers is out sick today and emailed my boss that I would have to do training in her place tomorrow. Training gives me panic attacks. Also, I am thrown into a tizzy of trying to make arrangements for this training when I don't know any of the details...like how many people I am supposed to be preparing for.

I woke up with an incipient headache this morning, and almost stayed home...I'm kind of wishing I had because I suspect if there was noone here today and my boss had to do all the setting up and arranging by himself, the training would get cancelled.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

No Tinos today, please! In an hour I talk to the internal medicine specialist to (hopefully) find out if Leo the Cat really does have pancreatitis. I hope I'll be able to bring him home, but he also has a UTI, so I don't know how long they'll want to keep him. I'm worried.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Librarian Warlord

Jet Blue is having a $10 fare sale today. One of the librarians here just booked a flight to Long Beach. I cannot find any flights for me, boo!

Poor Leo!

I'm not really looking forward to this week. I have a ton of stuff to do. Which is NO. GOOD.

Compassionately intolerant

it isn't obsessed over in wider culture the way Mother's Day is.

As a former florist, I can tell you exactly why this is...Biggest day of the year, baybee! Followed closely by VDday.

If some marketing company were to champion something other than ties for Father's Day...something people can be convinced men all men should be interested in...it would be just as big.

Sadly, it seems that 'loving' your dad is not as guilt inducing as moms. Wonder why that is.

Ugh. That came off more cynical than I intended. I know there are lots of people who love the idea of giving their moms flowers on Mothers Day.
