You were very nearly devoured by a giant demon snake. The words 'let that be a lesson' are a tad redundant at this juncture.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Anything you can do to change it? Alcohol? Chocolate? An uninterrupted bath?

Sorry to disappear on you. Putting kids to bed, then doing some email work.

I did consider each of those plans. Ate a bit of chocolate, decided that the last bath didn't fix the foul mood it was supposed to fix, so didn't try it this time. But the sugar--and the quiet probably--have helped a bit. Thanks.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

And irises! I KNEW they looked familiar, but I've only ever seen them in photographs/paintings. Never in real life. And now they're in my YARD!

Oooh! Didn't you think they were ginger a few months ago? SO COOL FOR YOU!

I don't know if its all irises or just some, but they can have this purple juice/sap sorta thing on the that can up at the base of the flower. When I was a girl it always looked to me like the flowers were bleeding. Awesome.

IOW, my doors are always open to Buffistas.

Oh my that sounds wonderful.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I love irises! My Queen of Night tulips were splendid this year. I love their dark rich color. Those and the white daffodils were the only things to survive the rabbits.

The Biscuit is smart. Our trainer said he`s on eof the smartest dogs he`s ever worked with...and therefore one of the most stubborn. He gave him extra training time. Hee. And we have to watch him constantly; he`s always logicking out some way to get his way. But he`s also super fun to train. We`re teaching him to play the piano for our friend`s album.

The symphony tonight went so great! I loved it and the SO was pleased. I cried. He got a lot of praise. He thought one of the movements was too slow, but I thought everything was so wonderful. I am very proud of him. It was totally cool to hear the real instruments and articulations. So much fun.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, I never knew that Carl Kasell was southern, until I just heard him talking about his mother, and the accent came out. Sweet!

information libertarian

IIRC Carl Kasell got his start in broadcasting at UNC.

He's definitely from NC, at least. That was a really sweet piece, with different NPR folks (including suprise heartthrob Ari Shapiro) talking about their moms.

Okay, there's some Teen Mom MOTW on my TV. First, I spy Colin as the swim coach. Then an exterior shot makes me realize they're in Halifax!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The symphony tonight went so great!

That's really wonderful!
