Our AWESOME secret!
I am super stoked about the SO`s show. It`s something he`s wanted to do for a long time and it will be great to hear it live. He`s worried about it because they were underrehearsed when he checked in on them. We`ll see how it goes.
So you know all that free floating anxiety I had going on this morning? I held a business meeting with the three of us to try to offload some of the stress and sense of being overwhelmed. I was successful and now all three of us feel stressed and overwhelmed! FAIL!
And now, while I was typing that, The SO called us all into my office to remind us that it will be a really fun summer of getting paid to play music. Which is true. So that helps put the stress into perspective. I love that guy.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
"You do watch Firefly don't you?", ita said. And then punched him in the face.
I am so tempted to purloin that for a tagline...may I?
I made a misstep with my sister. I looked up an old friend of hers and encouraged sis to get back in touch with her, primarily because I missed her and wanted to know what she was up to (it's possible I was a little involved in my sister's social life while we went to the same schools). Turns out the chick? REALLY STRANGE. Drunken garbled sexual FB status chick. Boring chick. Intrusive question chick.
My sister has been pretty nice about not pointing the finger at me for this social torture she's being put through, but oops. I'd so hoped this weird and zany teen beauty had grown up into something fascinating, but no.
Maybe I should track down another of my sister's friends. To make up for it. Can't go worse.
Liese, that's really cool about your SO. Both the music and the calming.
Huh. I thought the vending machine guy was joshing with me. But he did only load the machine with the drink I said I wanted. The sudden, strange power of a wrinkled nose and a pout...
I was anti roller-coaster at Emmett's age, got peer-pressured into finally going on one and I hated it. As soon as I felt well enough to stand once it was over, I clocked the guy who'd talked me into it in the head.
I heart Jessica. I did Space Mountain when I was around 20 and confirmed that I don't like coasters. It didn't make me sick, it was just the opposite of fun. I think I'm allergic to adrenaline.
But I didn't clock anyone, partly because the guy who talked me into it was my dad.

Was there that sound that Samantha made on Bewitched?
Was there that sound that Samantha made on Bewitched?
That's what that was.
Thank dog I'm not reliving I Dream of Jeannie instead.
I like the up and downy rides (it's possible I have an adrenaline addiction) but can't take the teacups. Or IMAX movies about the space shuttle.
When I was a kid, I was scared of rollercoasters, but loved the super pukey spinny rides. Now I'm the opposite. Well, less scared of the spinny rides as averse to puking.
Teacups are just good fun!
I have also never had a good time on the bumper cars. Like REALLY bad times on them. Gave me driving anxiety that lasted until learner's lessons.
Rollercoasters == fun. Spinny rides == cookie tossing.

Like when your car won't go because the steering wheel is turned the wrong way or cars have you pinned somewhere and then someone just keeps ramming into you over and over?
