Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

They're evacuating Times Square

Fucking what NOW?

Old Navy Shooting

I may never leave the house again. Is anyplace safe? /rhetorical

In re: rollercoasters, I am Jessica. Although I didn't hit the guy. I did tell my mom about him grabbing my boobs, though. I am a total wuss about rollercoasters. Even the little ones scare me.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

They're evacuating Times Square. Here's hoping for an overreaction to nothing at all.

CNN is saying it's a "suspicious cooler" so I'm guessing it's probably nothing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

CNN is saying it's a "suspicious cooler"

It's not my font's fault that looked like suspicious cooter, but I'm glad it seems trivial.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

suspicious cooter

Giuliani chased all of those out of Times Square 15 years ago.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

suspicious cooter

Too much bejewling?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Where they will be playing my SO`s first orchestral composition!

Oh, wow! That's awesome.

Man, Burrell, your poor MiL! Hoping for radiation poisoning because that's the less bad choice. Health~ma for her, for sure.

Weekend plans: a bike ride pretty soon, then the rest of today and probably tomorrow tidying up, doing laundry, and getting DH's new dresser put together (and then getting our clothes all redistributed to take advantage of it). Sunday is a brunch cruise in the slough with my parents and the Mother's Day Artisan Fair down at Harbor Plaza (I think Harbor Square is the other place where the fair is not, it is confusing having every dang place in town named Harbor Something). Oh, and mowing the lawn, probably tomorrow. After DH fixes the weedeater. Maybe finishing the drip irrigation in the front flower beds if I am not too tuckered out by everything else.

I don't have strong feelings about rollercoasters. Old rickety ones scare me, but only if I stop to think about how much faith I am putting in someone else's maintenance.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Also seriously fucking jackholish, since he's well placed to understand how that just fucks the train operaters right up.

I'd suggest being a little more gentle. If he's in so much pain that he's going to commit suicide, he just wants the pain to stop. There's no room in his mind to worry about any effect on others.

As for Times Square, good grief. Regardless of whether it's a cooter or a cooler. Bah's to the fool that left it there.

UPDATE 2:22: According to the Office of Emergency Management,

"All police activity at 46th Street and Broadway in Manhattan has concluded. All streets in Times Square are now open." See y'all at the next suspicious package!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

New York is about to be like London was when my friend lived there in the 90s, huh? No public garbage cans, everything evacuated all the time, etc....
