Stock Selloff May Have Been Triggered by a Trader Error
In one of the most dizzying half-hours in stock market history, the Dow plunged nearly 1,000 points before paring those losses—all apparently due to a trader error.
According to multiple sources, a trader entered a "b" for billion instead of an "m" for million in a trade possibly involving Procter & Gamble, a component in the Dow.
Ha! I've been proclaiming for years--decades even--that there's Neanderthal in dem der genes. Nice to have it scientifically confirmed.
I am very tired (haven't been sleeping well), and was supposed to work late to make up for going to the dentist this morning. But my boss is letting me leave at 5:00 so I can take a nap before my date.
Timelies all!
Heading up to NYC tomorrow after work. (taking the train) Finally going to see my niece, even if it will be at a Mother's Day brunch with a lot of other people.
BINAO:
Alec Hardison/Parker/Eliot
Peter/Elizabeth/Neal
Alec Hardison/Parker/Eliot Hardison
You made them married! Cute!
Peter/Elizabeth/Neal. More stable. I'll watch Hardison/Parker/Eliot from afar.
Hee!
I knew there was something wrong there,
So I Goggled Alec Hardison to make sure it was the right spelling
::facepalm::
Alec/Parker/Eliot.
Poor Hardison! Poor Parker! I need them to get some resolution.
I am in SQL hell again. I hate modifying other people's SQL more than I hate modifying their programming. It's so much harder to tell when you've gone wrong.
Peter/Elizabeth/Neal. More stable. I'll watch Hardison/Parker/Eliot from afar.
Who would be scarier if you messed with one of them?
I actually think it might be the Caffrey-Burkes
