We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Bowie's Golden Years just came up on my ipod, which made me flash on Knight's Tale, which made me think about Heath Ledger, and now I am sad.

There's a local station that has Lauryn Hill's "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" in their rotation, which makes me think of 10 Things I Hate About You and the stadium scene, which makes me think of Heath Ledger, and then I'm sad. I actually also have the audio clip from that scene on my iPod, too. Oh, Heath.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

In my crazyhead dreamland, both people who looked at it in the last 24 hours, make offers within minutes of each other and start a BIDDING WAR! And I get my asking price and we all live happily ever after!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But of course.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I actually watched that movie (Gothic) in class in college. My survey of English Lit teacher was doing her thesis on Frankenstein and Mary Shelley, so we delved a bit more into them than perhaps we should have for a class that was supposed to cover literature from Donne and the Metaphysical Poets to modern times.

I just got an email from a student that displays that annoying attitude thing that we who work at colleges talk about. The student signed up for a class that allows you to complete 2 semester long classes in one semester (Anatomy and Physiology I & II). She could have signed up for the classes seperately. She wants 2 separate grades because she thinks it is making her GPA go down by .2 points (no idea if this is true or possible). And instead of asking politely if there is any way she could do something about this, apologizing for making a mistake, etc, etc, she says

I am writing this email because I recieved one grade for A&P I&II. I need the two courses separated. This arrangement of the courses (taking two courses and receiving one grade) has negatively affected my overall GPA (3.7 instead of 3.9). Please let me know what I need to do to fix this.

it is very minor, but I just want to punch her in the nose.

Dear Student:

Fortunately, this is easily fixed. First, build a time machine. Then go back in time and fix your mistake.

Signed, It wasn't our mistake.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Sophia, I am amazed at how students don't consider the tone of their emails. I can totally see how this would have pissed you off (and would have chapped my ass too), but something in the way she said it would make me give her the benefit of the doubt. Of course, I'm not the one innocently opening my email and seeing this shit. :)

Dear Student:

I survived Developmental Vertebrate Anatomy, a combination of embryology and vertebrate anatomy that was a five-hour C for 80 percent of the class. DVA had 8 a.m. MWF classes and three-hour labs on TTh.

In other words, suck it up.
