Natter 65: Speed Limit Enforced by Aircraft
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
That definitely does not sound good, Kat. I'm so sorry you (and Grace, of course) are going through this. Poor noodle.
4 of us had to share a lane
Nightmare! I would be swimming into everyone. That's one sure upside to hitting the pool super early in the morning, I suppose. Do you use a swim cap, sara?
We have the topsy turvy, btw. The strawberry one is bearing fruit, and we also dropped pepper plants and tomato plants in that one. We also have a single whole tomato one.
So far, with the strawberries, it means the berries don't get funny rot nor eaten by animals.
Kids with traches occasionally cough up blood (either from a scratch with suctioning, if there is tracheal thinning from a med or due to extreme dryness). There isn't a lot of blood, but it's fresher than usual, occasionally clotty and not resolving with the usual methods. So she goes to the ENT tomorrow. Sigh.
The two day delay is because they don't discharge on Saturdays and Fridays are too stressy for discharge. So monday it is.
More like the plant killer.
My soul sister.
Bear Grylls new show on Discovery is based on the Worst Case Scenario handbooks. I think I'm going to love it.
Circle swim is not my favorite. I tend to not get into the zone.
Yes on the swim cap. Silicon. After a while they start slipping as they stretch out. My head is such that my nape and around my ears get the chlorine treatment after about halfway through, but it is mostly ok. (eta: another of my body parts not compatible with reality. Halfway= 20 someodd minutes.) I clip up that stuff as best I can before putting on the cap, else it slips out. Taken to using tons of conditioner and only shampooing my hair after the swim.
Java's lemons are really the gift that keeps on giving. Tonight is Moroccan chicken with Meyer lemons and green olives. I think I will attempt preserved lemons with the few that remain.
In related news, it's amazing what I can accomplish when I actually leave work on time.
Thanks, sara. I bought a swim cap at Target but my head barely fits in it and that's without my hair tucked in it. I just bought some online that sound good, so we'll see. If they don't work, I might bug you for a rec.
Yum, megan! I've seen Meyer lemons at the store but I know they won't be near as good as fresh, and I don't know that I could handle the disappointment. *sob* IOW, I miss CA sometimes something fierce.
Mechanic said my car would be fixed today but never called so it's a good thing I didn't take the rental car back early. Hopefully he didn't want me to just stop by and pick it up today. If so, he'll need to be more specific.
Nicole, I have short hair, so regular caps work for me. I did see caps for long hair at the swim shop, so that's out there if your hair is longer.
My dinner of TJ's garlic fries were fairly yummy.
Without TJs, I'm certain we'd have some sort of nutritional deficiency in this house. Beri-beri, maybe, or scurvy. (Tonight's dinner was scallops sauteed with a shit-load of garlic, served with Thai Lime Rice, which is the best rice ever ever ever, along with Beans So Green [frozen various green veggies]. All TJs.)
ION, I have "I'm Too Sexy" stuck in my head.
And I am, indeed, too sexy for my cat.
I miss Greens with Envy. That was my favorite TJ's veggie product.
