I don't fancy spending the next month trying to get librarian out of the carpet.

Coding and Sleeping

because I want a way to communicate with Hubby when I'm in the grocery store.

Very good use. It's helped me several times when DW requests nonexistent items when I go off to the grocery store.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I quibble with use of the term "sex toy". According to the article, it's not being used for the sex itself, but to attract the female's attention to the male's erection so that they can have sex. It's like tight jeans.

The article likened it to a boom car, with the caveat that no actual woman finds a boom car attractive. The analogy does however have the advantage of maintaining the connection to tools.

I'm getting the pig!

I get annoyed when I leave a voicemail for DH and he calls without listening to it first. Dude, if I call and just hang up when I get the vm, then whatev, but if I go through the trouble of leaving you info? Check it! Yesterday I left him a voicemail saying I was leaving my phone at home to charge while I was out getting stuff at the store. When I came home my phone showed 4 missed calls and 2 voicemails from him. !!!

Yay Bob! And fingers crossed that Second Look person becomes First Offer person for msbelle!

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I just got rid of my cell phone. Decided the expense didn't warrant hanging on to something I never used. I only got it for two reasons: 1) so my daughter could have a cell phone when she still had crappy credit and 2) to have during the F2F. Her credit's improved enough, she got her own cell phone recently and I'm saving $60 a month. Yay. I might get a tracphone, though. Just to have something. But it wouldn't be a monthly fee to worry about.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The Chinese restaurant had no scallion pancakes at their steam table.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Our cell phone plan charges for texting so we don't use it. I have nothing against texting, I just don't want to pay for it.

Yeah, that was my thing against texting too. I was charged ten cents a text either way. Then fifteen. Then twenty. At which point during my road trip it made sense to just pay five bucks for 300 texts since after 25 texts, they're basically free.

Now I wonder why I resisted so long. It's very useful and fun. Unfortunately, my phone is not a Smartphone and has very little memory for texts, so I can only save about twenty texts to treasure forever. I have to delete old gems to make room for more.
