It seems to me that a better long-term solution is to put the coyotes out of business by regularizing immigration enough that there's much less incentive to use their services, such as a guest-worker program.

But at the same time, a subset of people cross the border for more sinister reasons. I've heard Phoenix described as the Kidnapping Capital of America. Mexican organized crime rings cross the border and kidnap people for ransom.
I think there's a difference between illegal border crossing and illegal immigration - to me, "immigration" implies that the goal is settlement in the US, not crossing the border to commit a crime and then head straight back to Mexico.

Arizona is looking for a way to discourage the former, even though it equally affects the latter. They can't do anything about federal immigration laws.

Does anyone have a good espresso/cappuccino maker to recommended. Something in the $150 range would be best, although up to $500 is okay. If it is an Italian brand or model name, that would be great.
Basically, we need to offer a prize for an Italian survey in the $500 range, I'd rather spread the wealth among a few machines.

Both CJ and I slept through our alarms and didn't get up until after 10am. I have a headache that can't decide if it wants to go migraine or not and CJ has a stomach ache. It was quite odd to wake up so late, not remembering that I had shut off my alarm and then realizing that not only had CJ not gone to school but that he was still sound asleep on the floor of his room.
I put in a few hours of work and am going to see if a nap can snap the headache. I've already rescheduled 2 conference calls and canceled both CJ and my karate classes.
