Coding and Sleeping

Pentagon-backed scientists aim to create a human-like machine, at some point.

Probably subcontracted by Cyberdyne.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I dunno - I think at some point, intelligent cats from the future will travel back in time to set up CyberCat, a corporation to compete with Cyberdyne. So instead of a future where humans are hunted by Cyberdyne terminators, we'll have a future where we'll be enslaved by intelligent robotic cats. Riding Roombas.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The human resistance armory will be comprised entirely of giant laser pointers.

Hey, I have no worries about what the native cats will tell our future feline overlords about me and Hubby. "Oh, those two, they're good, they make room on the bed for us, they feed strays, and they yell at neighbors who mistreat their own cats. We're keeping a waiting list for locals who want to check out indoor living for a while."

The 5 Most Unintentionally Offensive Comic Book Characters

I remember Tyroc. He was a dick. My reaction to Black Lois Lane at the time was simply, "Hmmm, that's a good look for her."

Always Anti-fascist!

The reaction described to Black Lois Lane(Although, yes, she was very fly, and that might have made an interesting comic idea, really) reminds me of how I'd feel if there was a comic called Lois Lane: In a Cast For Six *whole* Weeks. @@.

“Not dead yet!”

Glad to hear your mom got her power back, Ginger. That flooding has been something fierce, though-- all the news shots of the single wide floating down I-24 in Antioch is mere blocks from where I used to live. (Bell Road was my exit.)

And with respect to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel flooding, this puts Romance Writers of America in an interesting wait and see position. We're supposed to be having National there in just under three months and Gaylord just issued a press release stating that they expect the hotel to be closed several months right now. Of course, that could be just cautionary, but we have to wait for them to make the call since we're contractually obligated to hold the conference at that hotel.

Idiotic political quote o' the day:

"You know Arizona has been under terrorist attacks, if you will, with all of this illegal immigration that has been taking place on our very porous border. [...W]e do not and will not tolerate illegal immigration bringing with it very much so the implications of crime and terrorism into our state," - Arizona Governor Jan Brewer (R).

Wanker.
