I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Lost in Austen is a lot of fun.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I am an accent sponge; if I spent more than a couple of hours around someone with an accent, I start to mimic it.

Me, too!! Especially if the other speaker is Irish, then I definitely slip into a brogue.

ION, last week I was watching a PBS show on flappers and the 20s culture, and now I really want to find/make a flapper-style coat and cloche hat for winter wear after I lose my weight--I love that look!

And I was surprised when I saw foxes in my neighborhood: [link]

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

YAY Corwood! Congratulations! May the selling luck spread to the rest of us.

Today was so very busy, and now I just want to go home and snuggle with the hubs. I am going to try to cut short HH with friend I haven't seen in weeks so that can do just that.

I'm also feeling sick over La. and the gulf states in general. And thinking about my cousin who just got his captain's license.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Excellent news, Corwood!

ooo, a fox appeared on my porch a few nights ago to dine at the cat-food buffet. It's quite a draw for the local mammals. Maybe I'll get lemurs next!

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Thanks, y'all! I definitely prefer to live in the same state as the rest of my little family. The same house, even.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It sounds radical, but it seems to work for some people...

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

It was called "Lost in Austen" and it starred Jemima Rooper; if anyone watched Hex, she played Thelma. I loved her character in that show, and she is just as charming in this. It was, IMHO, pretty charming and clever. Light and fun. I quite enjoyed it.

That was a lot of fun and I am not an Austen person. Don't shun me?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Liese, I think you've responded to my Facebook comments on that show, right? It's a revelation.

Yup, I think so. I like how they depict all these different scenarios, and they show them struggling with their decisions, but they let it play out.
