"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Liese, I think you've responded to my Facebook comments on that show, right? It's a revelation.

Yup, I think so. I like how they depict all these different scenarios, and they show them struggling with their decisions, but they let it play out.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Yay Corwood! See you soonish!

Our wings are not tired.

Yup, I think so. I like how they depict all these different scenarios, and they show them struggling with their decisions, but they let it play out.

I think the dialogue sounds real, too; especially the very funny interactions between the sisters and sisters-in-law.

Punishingly Intricate

Woohoo Corwood! Please pass some of that house-selling luck Bob-ward if you don't mind.

Anything in the form of an experience (tickets, dinner, game) he would be into?

Yes? I'm sure there is. He likes to do stuff. But I am totally blanking. We are going hiking tomorrow. To be hiking but also in pursuit of Maryland morels.

“Not dead yet!”

Urk. Just cut myself across three fingers while working in the kitchen. Nothing too horrible, only one cut was anything more than superficial and even that wasn't too bad, but I'm feeling stupid. First time in something like thirty years of cooking that I've done anything like that. (Knife slipped cutting sweet potatoes.)

Luckily, all the cuts are on my left hand, so even if they stiffen up, not such a big deal.

Worse was the fact that even though I'm doing better with the iron levels, even minimal blood loss can bring on wooziness, bright lights swimming in front of the eyes, and a lovely case of tinnitis.

But I will have Good Dinner, dammit.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Heh -- today I stood by and listened as a native Amharic speaker read the Census questions to a native Chinese speaker. Not a whole lot of pronunciations in common there, but they managed.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yes? I'm sure there is. He likes to do stuff. But I am totally blanking. We are going hiking tomorrow. To be hiking but also in pursuit of Maryland morels.

A nice restaurant that does something exciting with morels??

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Amharic! awesome. I wish I lived near some Habesha so mac could have a chance to organically form relationships with them.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I think the sisters and sisters-in-law.

I think there's got to be something up with Christina and her family. Like she had a bad or abusive family situation and the Bravermans took her in. She made a comment like that once, and she seems so close with her husband's family.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Friday fun video: Hanson (yes, that Hanson) pays tribute to The Blues Brothers movie.

The song's quite good, too--has a nice beat, and you can dance to it.
