OK, you have the dead thing problem much worse, Sophia.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Sophia, I'd double-check my zombie-fighting supplies and weapons if I were you.

I'm liking the mishmash of eras on Fringe. It's not trying to be one thing or another, just borrowing to look cool.

Also? My performance eval went well, as expected. I have a full plate ahead of me and in the process of thinking through those, realized something for the upcoming build that I have to take care of. Which is good. Also got to delegate some responsibilities. I don't really have minions, but I'm sort of setting myself to take responsibility as if I do. Which looks good. Also got some scuttlebutt that makes me think I really need to be included on some planning meetings. Hrm. May be setting up to join my favorite lightning rod. Oops.

Tomorrow will be a pain, because I think the upcoming build has some unforeseen issues. I have been reassured that if I test it and don't like what I see, I'll have full backing in putting it off (eta: and that's politically and practically a nightmare.) So that's nice. But I've got to sort out what we're seeing.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Why are soooo many things I want on Modcloth out of stock?

cries.

I still really want this shoe: [link] But I can't really justify it on my budget right now. Oooh, maybe I can ask my parents for an early b-day present. I know they'd rather do house stuff, but...I'm forgoing this for house stuff (namely mortgage.) eta: feh, no longer have my size anyway.

The status is NOT quo.

It's weird. I will use "theater" when I am going to see a movie but "theatre" when I am going to see a performance.

That's what people who work in theatre do, too, fwiw. In fact, some will toss a resume if they see "theater." Or so I've been told.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have also realized that perhaps my anxiety issues have not resolved themselves as much as I have made my life avoid situations which provoke my anxieties. Oy! This is a totally normal thing to do, and it has caused e such agita.

I think it's normal to have some anxiety about doing something you don't usually do and that you want to come out well. Unless that's just me....

“Not dead yet!”

Dear Copy Editor,

I really appreciate you pointing out all the instances where you're correcting the narrative so it's grammatically proper, except... the narrative is in First Person POV, so it would stand to reason that it's going to be colloquial and grammatically imprecise in order to give it, you know, flow.

IJS...
