The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Why are soooo many things I want on Modcloth out of stock?

I still really want this shoe: [link] But I can't really justify it on my budget right now. Oooh, maybe I can ask my parents for an early b-day present. I know they'd rather do house stuff, but...I'm forgoing this for house stuff (namely mortgage.) eta: feh, no longer have my size anyway.

The status is NOT quo.

It's weird. I will use "theater" when I am going to see a movie but "theatre" when I am going to see a performance.

That's what people who work in theatre do, too, fwiw. In fact, some will toss a resume if they see "theater." Or so I've been told.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have also realized that perhaps my anxiety issues have not resolved themselves as much as I have made my life avoid situations which provoke my anxieties. Oy! This is a totally normal thing to do, and it has caused e such agita.

I think it's normal to have some anxiety about doing something you don't usually do and that you want to come out well. Unless that's just me....

“Not dead yet!”

Dear Copy Editor,

I really appreciate you pointing out all the instances where you're correcting the narrative so it's grammatically proper, except... the narrative is in First Person POV, so it would stand to reason that it's going to be colloquial and grammatically imprecise in order to give it, you know, flow.

IJS...

HAHAHAH. I've become amazingly zen about that. It's almost funny to me. To the point where I know where the water shutoff is, and if the second floor plumbing died horridly, I'm "Well, I can shower at the Y." And when water comes up through the basement floor during crazy rainstorms, my response is to make sure nothing sits in the puddle and be relieved it's just the water table, not leaking walls.

Buying an old house has made me grow as a person....

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

The water table is way better than what my mom gets in her basement, which is sewage. Apparently the storm drains are connected to the sewers in her town, and there are now so many people on the sewer that it backs up. She happens to have a low lying house and still has a dirt cellar.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I have also realized that perhaps my anxiety issues have not resolved themselves as much as I have made my life avoid situations which provoke my anxieties.

Don't feel alone, Sophia, that's what I've done. Dealing with my anxieties was causing me too much anxiety.
