Zoe: What's that, sir? Mal: Freedom, is what. Zoe: No, I meant what's that? Mal: Oh. Yeah. Just step around it. I think something must've been living in here.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

why in the ever living hell would you need to consume an entire days worth of calories in one sitting?

Because it tastes good? Bear in mind, I usually don't consume a day's worth of calories in a day, but that seems motivation enough, if you can fit it in your tummy.

Which I CANNOT imagine. My appetite tops out somewhere around the bit with the cheesecake.

Our local pick-your-own strawberry farm is open, and I want to go this weekend, which happens to include May Day, which at my undergraduate college was celebrated with great fanfare (and strawberries and cream and champagne for breakfast!)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And 1200 is only a diet day's worth of calories!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Check out this employment letter: [link]

Basically, it says, "If we hadn't already fired you, we would have fired you for this other thing that was in the revised employee handbook that you should have known about."

eta: The person's response is kinda' funny....

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

And 1200 is only a diet day's worth of calories!

For real. I was actually surprised to hear that the Double Down had less than 600 calories considering it is DISCUSSED LIKE PEOPLE WILL START USING TROUGHS as a next step.

Isn't like a Starbucks whippy frothy large drink close to 1000 calories? Or something? I dunno, if you like pancakes and cheesecake, why not? Who cares?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

We're starting to get local strawberries in at the farmers' market. I'm looking forward to pick your own places opening, too, as I'm thinking of making jam this year.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Stephanie - we are doing a single share also. It is supposed to be enough for 1, maybe 2 people. They will let you upgrade during the season but not downgrade, so start small.

I wish I ate enough mushrooms to get a mushroom share, but even 1/2 a pound a week is a bunch.

The description of a "pancake stacker" makes my stomach clench. I can't imagine taking more than one small bite. They might as well start serving deep fried twinkies and deep fried Snickers bars on a regular basis.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Also: the Double Down is basically chicken cordon blue anyway!!

Don't get me started.

I think it's the idea of using fried chicken filets where you'd usually have a bread product that makes the Double Down so - well, IMO, weird.

Sure, it's weird, but I think only because they are presenting it as a sandwich, you know what I'm saying? It's just not the high point of gluttony.
