Man, you just get darker and darker, and the weird thing is, your aura? Beige.

When you're lucky. Add in motorcades, random road closures, protestors, and tourists on most days.

With a side order of transportation delays, random construction springing up over night, equally random building demolitions and streets that go in difference directions, depending on the time of day.

And yet? I LOVE this town!

eta:

And tourists? STAND RIGHT, WALK LEFT!

Ahahaha! I used to make myself nuts with this one, but now just take a breath. Living here pretty much forces you to be zen.

Todd, I can't believe you didn't add the SEGWAY TOURS of doom. Bartleby nearly got taken out by one of them recently. There would have been blood!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I'm trying really hard not to comment on a friend's FB post that it is nigh impossible for there to be 2 Marine One helicopters.

Unless you're Kevin Kline.

They're closing down most of the streets near the stadium which is an area that I will be avoiding all day tomorrow and Saturday.

Ann, that's a ferret.

DC travel also depends on: is Congress in session, did the Red Line break down again, what's happening at the Pentagon today, and is it Tuesday.

And is it rush hour, also known as 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. On a good day.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, I have just convinced myself that it's actually good that I can't get my last project done, because it gives my replacement something straightforward to do on his own....

Isn't there a Maglev train proposed for Baltimore to DC? That would be cool.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I really hope this person is writing a novel...

Keep breathing!

Unfortunately, such a project would have to stand in line behind an inter-county connector, the Purple Line, and fixing the potholes we have every 10 feet on every road around here. Car-eating potholes. With bad breath.

Adding to the good news of the day...

I mentioned in February that I had proposed a member support program at my gym. After being turned down by the local GM, I went to the VP, who it turns out, loves the idea. The dotted line has been signed, my membership is now gratis and I have a great way to get my name out in front of a whole new coaching audience, learn cool new stuff AND get motivated to work out now that my personal trainerbff has moved out of town.

Lemonade, baybee!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Car-eating potholes. With bad breath.

Like the one on the Geico commercial that sounds like Britney Spears?
