The whole boycott thing is getting kind of crazy. Not that there should be one, but for people's sake here, I hope it's brief. The rhetoric, though, is getting nuts. I thought lefties were supposed to be the ones who *didn't* generalize and didn't leap in to wishing discomfort on people. And also, you don't need to post about every Cold Stone cone you don't eat...it's not like getting chased by dogs in Birmingham, people, damn. Do what you need to do, but I am going to take it personally reading "racist pieces of shit," from a bunch of out-of-towners who sort of think the Suns are cool. I feel pretty confident saying "Russell Pearce is a racist piece of shit." based on almost every written statement I have read from him in over ten years. My brother somehow thinks I'll find it comforting that more of the Republicans voted for that bill based on back-room promises than overt racist sentiment. He knows more of the state leg. GOP(Which is, quite frankly, not something I'd especially brag about, but the boy ain't right. He loves when he can be A.J., Boy Macher, though.) I can accept his assessment, but it's not like I'm brushing my hands off going "Well, as long as they only exchanged *favors* for it, it's fine with me. Problem solved!" And here I've been wondering if he can think like a politician. I think we're good, on that.
sigh ... I keep forgetting it's OK to eat grapes
Congrats, Hil!

Personally I'm boycotting sun tea and bad blonde dye jobs.
Ooh! I'm boycotting acrylic toenails! (I was in AZ the one time I saw someone getting them...)
Also, how awesome is Zappos, still? I already have the Erin shoes! And they are great!
So, I was walking home last night, go to the end of my street and noticed that my car was NOT THERE! After which I proceeded lose my shit. It had been in the exact same spot my last car was stolen from, so I was having flashbacks and not wanting to deal (and having trouble breathing, quite honestly). Thankfully, a neighbor saw me and told me that the car had been towed due to street cleaning. It seems Salem has an exciting new street sweeping program that they didn't bother to publicize much. It used to be that Salem robcalled on things like this, but between this and a walkathon on Sunday I never heard about, I'm starting to wonder if they cut that from the budget.
It's sad when you're grateful you only have to pay $130+ to a towing company (on a $15 dollar ticket, no less) instead of your car having been stolen.
The icing on the cake was when I went to pay for the towing charge, I found out I'd left a credit card at a restaurant (I hope) on Tuesday. Luckily, I had just gotten cash last night so I got my car back.
Epic fail, week. Not as EPIC as it could have been. But. Still. Epic fail.
I not me news - woohoo, Hil!
And good luck, Theo!
Oh man, Frank. That sucks.
