Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage, and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Congrats, Hil!

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

And also, you don't need to post about every Cold Stone cone you don't eat...it's not like getting chased by dogs in Birmingham, people, damn.

Personally I'm boycotting sun tea and bad blonde dye jobs.

Ooh! I'm boycotting acrylic toenails! (I was in AZ the one time I saw someone getting them...)

Also, how awesome is Zappos, still? I already have the Erin shoes! And they are great!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

So, I was walking home last night, go to the end of my street and noticed that my car was NOT THERE! After which I proceeded lose my shit. It had been in the exact same spot my last car was stolen from, so I was having flashbacks and not wanting to deal (and having trouble breathing, quite honestly). Thankfully, a neighbor saw me and told me that the car had been towed due to street cleaning. It seems Salem has an exciting new street sweeping program that they didn't bother to publicize much. It used to be that Salem robcalled on things like this, but between this and a walkathon on Sunday I never heard about, I'm starting to wonder if they cut that from the budget.

It's sad when you're grateful you only have to pay $130+ to a towing company (on a $15 dollar ticket, no less) instead of your car having been stolen.

The icing on the cake was when I went to pay for the towing charge, I found out I'd left a credit card at a restaurant (I hope) on Tuesday. Luckily, I had just gotten cash last night so I got my car back.

Epic fail, week. Not as EPIC as it could have been. But. Still. Epic fail.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Sorry about the tow-away drama, Frank. It doth sucketh mightily.

Hooray for a job for Hil! Now, go celebrate!

Oh Frank, that sucks! Definitely not as much as it could've, yeah, but geez.

I'm personally shocked that my irritatingly conservative brother, who was posting all kinds of crazy anti-Obama shit during the election, on Facebook, who I totally would've figured to be a birther or a tea party type, actually is apparently more libertarian than I would've expected, and we are in AGREEMENT on something (!!!) as he posted against not only the recent Arizona law, but some other border checkpoint law stuff (more in a anti-Fed stuff, and "they say they can set up warrantless stops within a 100 miles of the border! WTF, my LIBERTY!!!!!" but hey, I agree with him, so...) Will wonders never cease? :)

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Was it here someone posted something from Snopes about Obama rumors vs. Bush rumors. Seemingly, during the eight years of Bush there were about half the number of rumors that Obama's gotten in less than two years and most of Bush's and very few of Obama's are true.
