Jayne: Yeah, that was some pretty risky sittin' you did there. Wash: That's right, of course, 'cause they wouldn't arrest me if we got boarded, I'm just the pilot. I can always say I was flying the ship by accident.

It's okay, shrift, you can still pray at home.

I was praying for death during my early and exceedingly dull meeting. I'm a rebel.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm praying right now AIFG!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm praying the paint thinner smell in my office will go away before I pass out.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Malcolm McLaren died and it didn't make Natter? I have to read old People for this?

I've never liked the national day of prayer because it's the President asking people to pray in an official capacity. It seems like an active endorsement of religion. I've also never gotten really got worked up about it either. What would happen if we had an atheist president (maybe by 2148)?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Somewhere online (a blog, I believe) last week, I read a quote from the British PM debate in which the candidate replied to a question about an upcoming visit to the UK by the pope and the ongoing abuse scandal with the Catholic Church by starting off with, "I'm not a person of faith myself, but my wife and children are Catholic..." and the blogger pointed out how we'd never hear a national candidate admit to not being a "person of faith."

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I've never liked the national day of prayer because it's the President asking people to pray in an official capacity.

Ah! I missed that part. That I do take issue with. But if it were "just a holiday", I wouldn't have much issue with it.
