If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I like this post of reaction shots from the Golden Globes.

Andrew Sullivan has a great one of NPH checking out Mickey Rourke (not like that!)

From last night:

There is a NYT columnist and author named Gina Kolata. And every time I see her name, I can't help singing "If you like Gina Kolata.... gettin' caught in the rain."

I think it was Stephen Colbert who sang that to her when she was his interview a few years back. She said that she gets it all the time. She's a good writer--I have her book on the 1918 flu.

The voodoo dolls were referenced on Daily Kos. A diarist said his wife had put in a max bid of $666 on the Robertson doll. "Is it any wonder I love her?" he said.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG, the stripper rubbing on Wyatt Senac on last night's Daily Show is from the Bret Michaels dating show. I think something is wrong with my life that I noticed that.

I didn't think it was one of the better TDS shows last night, but I thought the book in the interview sounded interesting. I worry about the lack of fiscal responsibility in the government. One of the things I liked about the Clinton administration was some return to sane fiscal policy. Hard to say with Obama, like they said in the interview, he started with about the worst set of cards possible.

I don't think 2003 was the start of the problem though. I think it was the Reagan administration, until then debt as percentage of GDP had been going down. His combination of tax cuts and war-time military spending really kicked off the debt building.

I'm curious about the Walker dude says about dealing with health-care costs.

Possibly something is wrong in my life that I find fiscal policy interesting.
