Mal: Well, you were right about this being a bad idea. Zoe: Thanks for sayin', sir.

Now tagless for your comfort.

What on earth made her think you would give her candy for breakfast in the first place?

That's what I asked her. Her reply, "because I want it." @@@@@@. She is in a stage where she really thinks she can have anything she wants.

I gave her the choice of a yogurt or banana and she refused both so she went to preschool without breakfast. Dealing with her is like beating my head against a brick wall.

“Not dead yet!”

Don't forget to punch a few holes, Cash.

Or not. Depending on your mood.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Motivation can be negative in exactly the way negative numbers are laid out on a timeline. It's not so much that my motivation is very very low like on a thermometer; it's pulling like hell in the opposite direction.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hey, you don't ask, you don't get!

Dylan has been demanding bagels at every meal all week. Do we ever have bagels except Saturday or Sunday mornings? No.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

She is in a stage where she really thinks she can have anything she wants.

Ah. OK. I'm sure I passed through such a stage, but my memories were mercifully blurred. I guess time and experience will take care of it, but it sounds like it'll be rough on you in the mean time.

Oh, well. I'm off to run a check to the bank and then pick up some lunch. Hey, maybe it'll be candy! (It probably won't be candy.)

My current food project is to start bringing my lunch to work. At about $8 a pop, I'm spending close to $2k/year on workday lunches, which is completely fucking insane. I could buy a LAPTOP EVERY YEAR for what I'm spending on lunch!

So my plan is to transfer $8 into savings every time I bring lunch to work and hopefully seeing the results on paper like that will keep me motivated.

oh Jessica that is an excellent plan. I may start transferring $5 over each day I bring mine and then use that balance to make an extra credit card payment each month. good times.
