Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Whoever invented elevenses was a genius.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

She is in a stage where she really thinks she can have anything she wants.

Ah. OK. I'm sure I passed through such a stage, but my memories were mercifully blurred. I guess time and experience will take care of it, but it sounds like it'll be rough on you in the mean time.

Oh, well. I'm off to run a check to the bank and then pick up some lunch. Hey, maybe it'll be candy! (It probably won't be candy.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My current food project is to start bringing my lunch to work. At about $8 a pop, I'm spending close to $2k/year on workday lunches, which is completely fucking insane. I could buy a LAPTOP EVERY YEAR for what I'm spending on lunch!

So my plan is to transfer $8 into savings every time I bring lunch to work and hopefully seeing the results on paper like that will keep me motivated.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

oh Jessica that is an excellent plan. I may start transferring $5 over each day I bring mine and then use that balance to make an extra credit card payment each month. good times.

Coding and Sleeping

There are a lot of days I live off the land at work. I have some pretzels or a bagel for lunch (there's often a supply of bagels in the break room, I don't know why). Lunch for $0.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I think I'll introduce her to Nutella on whole grain toast. That way she'll THINK she's getting chocolate for breakfast.

Dylan has been demanding bagels at every meal all week.

Liv's choice for dinner would be spaghetti every. single. day.

She thinks she can wear me down. Whatever.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Liv's choice for dinner would be spaghetti every. single. day.

Amen.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I feel like it may be time for my favorite book for some of these kids -- Bread and Jam for Frances!

Because books.

Liv's choice for dinner would be spaghetti every. single. day.

Sara's would be pizza. With a side of tacos.

Bread and Jam for Frances

Oh, love! I made sure to find a copy for Sara, and actually found Harvey's Hideout, too. Do you remember that one?
