Speaking of goodies, I had my first of a few Dine About Town meals, at Aziza. I can't believe I waited this long to try it because I love Moroccan. It was amazing. And they did not skimp because it was restaurant week.

OM NOM NOM NOM CHILI. It turned out great! So tasty! It was like real chili, and I made it! My neighbors loved it and were surprised when I told them it was fake meat. The oyster crackers were also a good addition. One of them wants the recipe. It made about five bowls and was good for three people, so I'll need to make about twice that when I have the rest of them over.
On the downside, I ruined my neighbor's pot by turning up the heat at the end, which led to burnt chili residue on the bottom we couldn't get off with our best efforts. Next time, just let it cook longer and slower. Patience!
Those voodoo dolls are hysterical. And holy guacamole, the Robertson is going to bring in a wad of cash! Then again, as DH noted, it's going to a good cause.

For burnt chili residue, I just soak the pan, usually overnight. Then it's a lot easier to get off.
P-C are you sure the pot was ruined? Sometimes I put water and dishwashing detergent in it and then heat up the water (don't leave it alone) and then take it off and let it soak overnight. Congrats on the good chili!
megan, YAY!
Yeah, they're going to try to soak it overnight. I hope that works. We tried boiling it away, but that didn't do it.
