Matilda was Not A Trooper during the longish drive.
But you didn't have to kill and eat her, right? Sounds like an overall win to me....

He is. He was talking about the special election in MA. Maybe it was so funny because I've had to endure all those election ads on the Boston channels I get.
And mac reached over and grabbed my hand. That was worth the $20.
Made me teary.
Julie, I'm glad Spike the Snake is back, and not frozen anymore. I like snakes.
Banana bread. I love banana bread. ION, I'd like to report that mango mojitos are a very good idea.
Today it got up to 60 degrees. It was heavenly.
I am stunned at how many election ads there are!
Well, I really do need a haircut.
Fair trade!
But you didn't have to kill and eat her, right?
We did not. Though to be fair she's rather lean and stringy.
Sounds like an overall win to me....
True enough. Not being in a ditch, stuck along the roadside for four hours, or over a precipitous drop were all on the plus side of the ledger. And really, 8 hours in a car is a long-ass time for a 3 y.o.
As part of getting donations for Haiti relief, an enterprising chap is offering, on eBay, a Pat Robertson voodoo doll and Rush Limbaugh voodoo doll. Proceeds from the Robertson doll go to the Red Cross, and proceeds from the Limbaugh doll go to DWB/MSF.
The Q&A section on the Robertson doll cracks me up.
Brenda, ha!
megan, come over next week and help me make lemon goodies and then take a bunch home!
Okay!
Speaking of goodies, I had my first of a few Dine About Town meals, at Aziza. I can't believe I waited this long to try it because I love Moroccan. It was amazing. And they did not skimp because it was restaurant week.
OM NOM NOM NOM CHILI. It turned out great! So tasty! It was like real chili, and I made it! My neighbors loved it and were surprised when I told them it was fake meat. The oyster crackers were also a good addition. One of them wants the recipe. It made about five bowls and was good for three people, so I'll need to make about twice that when I have the rest of them over.
On the downside, I ruined my neighbor's pot by turning up the heat at the end, which led to burnt chili residue on the bottom we couldn't get off with our best efforts. Next time, just let it cook longer and slower. Patience!
