Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

When I was in college several of us would, on occasion, dress for dinner. Long dresses for the girls, some of the boys had gone to a local thrift shop and gotten tuxedo jackets ... which did lose something worn with jeans. One had bought a tail coat which, with jeans and boots, left him looking rather like a ringmaster. We'd get together, have sherry before dinner, then go to the dining hall for dinner.

Certainly made food service dinners more palatable.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I want this dress for my May NYC trip.

Oh, I love that. I may need to get it for my birthday trip in September.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I'm still trying to work LA casual. I have a million black dresses I wore all the time in NYC that seem overdressed here. I just broke out some high boots with a skirt and had to explain myself. And the worst part is, people here won't admit it! They think you can "wear what you want" here, which is not even true.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I would also be overdressed for the setting.

Eff the setting, IJS.

I side with ita on this, much to no one's surprise.

Team Overdressing FTW!

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

My sister Helena Handbasket has an interview question.

She had a job interview last Tuesday and realized that she forgot to send a thank you note. The interviewers said that they would be deciding on the position early this week.

Our mother thinks that it is too late and she shouldn't send anything.

I think she should send an email thank you immediately and a mailed one as well.

I should note that as a nurse, Helen will be aiming to get a job at this hospital, regardless of whether she gets this job. She also particularly wants to work in this unit and so will be applying to this unit again.

Someone tell me to back away from Google and stop searching for a long-discontinued pair of boots. Even if I find them, I can't afford them. But I keep googling ...

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I love team overdressing!

Me too! Shocking, I know.

“Not dead yet!”

Speaking of overdressing, my new favorite gown. I suspect, however, the colors would look like ass on me, which is perhaps fortunate, given the price.

Punishingly Intricate

It's never too late to say "Thank You."

My Trixie dresses I think don't work on me either due to bust issues. I can't seem to part with them yet though.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's never too late to say "Thank You."

This.
