The solution to this problem is simple: start drinking.
Mets are up 2-1 in the bottom of the 20th.
I know nothing of the East Coast ballplayers, but I want the Mets to win just because Scola loves them. That is all.
Also, Noah is hi-larious, and definitely needs to learn the other "Lola."
Also also, Matilda is killing me today. Half the time being contrary and miserable and giving me rage headaches, and the other half laying out tea parties and cheerfully self-entertaining and telling stories about her toys, and early this afternoon she nearly slew me when I carried her home from the playground and laid her out on the bed to nap. Mostly asleep, she roused herself just enough to say, "That was a long walk home."
"Yes, it was," I said.
"Did you carry me home?"
"Yes."
She looked terribly worried and patted my face. "But it was such a long walk."
"Well, it's okay, 'cause I love you."
And she patted my face again and said, "I love you too, Mama." And all afternoon she's been patting me and saying either "I love you too" or "I love you more."
DED. DED, I SAY.

Isn't that ALWAYS true?
We bought a twin stroller today and the kids actually looked like twins for perhaps the first time in a long time.
Go, Cash!
I think that is MY parents' fridge, too. They like it.
Noah is too awesome. I hope "Noah - N-O-A-H Noah - No-no-no-no-noaaaah" is coming soon.
Oh, Matilda. Keep up with the face patting and the loving. So melty.
He certainly needs to learn the Kink's version!
Matilda = adorable.
Noah's also been obsessed with my now-found but recently lost library book. He actually keeps saying, "Tell me the story about my teacher snatching my library book!" I think he's a wee bit afraid of school.
Grace has a preschool placement! And I don't need to pay for it! And it includes a health tech who can do things like suction her or change her trache!
My favorite Matilda moment today (surrounded by a seemingly numberless series of whine-fests) came after I channel flipped to Turner Classic Movies.
She took one look at the movie and declared.
"This is my favorite show."
"They Live By Night? The classic film noir with Farley Granger?"
"Yes. I love this show."
OK. One out to go.
