All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

He was a showgirl!

Not "I met him in a bar down in old Soho"?

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Because they just pitched the first no hitter in their history.

I'm having a little difficulty celebrating that one.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Also in 1985? Tim McCarver was a good broadcaster.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The Mets have never had a no-hitter! And they play in a pitcher’s park, and they have had hall of fame pitchers and stuff!

Weird, huh? A team that produced Seaver, Doc Gooden, Ron Darling, and had David Cone and currently has Johan Santana seems like it should've done it by now.

Also in 1985? Tim McCarver was a good broadcaster.

If I were to believe that (and I'm not saying I do) then that would mean that everything that gets on TV becomes progressively worse. Which is depressing.

Did the Mets win yet?

The Cards scored in the bottom of the 19th. We're now in the 20th.

NO!

I loved the commentary about how with all the disappointing loses, that if the Mets were to lose this game now, like this......and then STL ties. SHUT IT MCCARVER!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's like the Mets want to play triple extra innings games or something. Ple, if you were wondering what Sherilyn Fenn has been up to:

Chiller Theatre Expo, April 16-18, Parsippany, NJ - Alice Cooper, Arch Hall Jr., Tura Satana, Sherilyn Fenn

She's in Parsipppany. With Alice Cooper and Tura Satana.

Because books.

Well, Tim has aged a bit in the last 25 years.

This game is no longer as fun as the 1985 one. I seem to remember a brawl during that one, too.
