This girl at school? She told me that gelatin is made from ground-up cow's feet and that every time you eat Jell-O there's some cow out there limping around without any feet. But I told her that I'm sure the cow is dead before they cut its feet off, right?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I was going to go into work (showered and got dressed and everything) but I think it may be raining too hard.

I better stay here and work, instead of risking the whole melting thing.

Meryl's dress was by Chris March: [link]

That's really cool. She looked lovely.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Where is everyone! I am v.v. bored and I have run out of interenets.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I am trying to work on hotel internet, but my work computer refuses to connect. Netbook? Connecting just fine. So now I'm trying to use webmail. It's not going too well.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I'm watching Community on demand and lamenting a certain cast addition. And pondering what to do today.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Meryl's dress was by Chris March:

That makes me like her even more!

I am making mushroom turnovers, because buying them at TJ's just seems ridiculous after a while. We'll see how they come out -- the pastry and filling are cooling now, and each was easy peasy.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

From yesterday afternoon:

I want to learn to bake popovers like in Maine.

My mom got a popover pan with a recipe inside right after we got back from our trip to Maine in 1982. We were introduced to popovers at our tea on the lawn at Jordan Pond in Acadia National Park. She still makes them occasionally--sooooo yummy!!

I really want to get back to Maine some day. That was probably my favorite family trip ever--in two weeks, we drove from Joliet, stayed overnight near Buffalo and did a late-afternoon/evening bus trip to Niagara Falls, drove through NH and VT, staying overnight somewhere in the White Mountains (saw the Old Man in the Mountain, now gone), and then spent four days in Bar Harbor, two days in Nova Scotia, a quick day in Boston, and then home. Very fun.

Our wings are not tired.

Kathy, I've not been to Maine and that trip seems perfect.

meara, where you headed now?

I'm watching Community on demand and lamenting a certain cast addition.

I've not watched more than 10 min because I loathe Chase, but I am going to try and watch more because I've heard it's great. And I already watch the rest of that line-up!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I didn't go to Arisia today... just too tired, and ready to spend a day not negotiating huge crowds. (Even if Monday wouldn't be as crowded as some other days....)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I'm hoping the addition was just a one-off. In any case, not loving the stunt casting or this episode. Overall, still one of my favorite shows.

I have so much to do today, and so little motivation.

Puppies!!!!.

In other words, I may never work again because my eyes will be glued to the puppyness!
