Ketchup is a proper flavoring for potato chips. It doesn't belong most other places. Mayo is an offense to all that is good. Fries should be had with either chocolate milkshake or malt vinegar.

Ketchup and mustard on burgers. No onions, lettuce and tomato only if it's tomato season.
Ketchup and mustard also on fries and hotdogs.
Fries on burger only if I'm in France or a French restaurant.
Mayo on fries if it's aioli.
Sweet potato fries are surpringly good with cheese.
Favorite fries - The Spotted Dog's beer-battered cheese fries with bacon (soy if you prefer), hold the sour cream and chives, side of ranch. Yeah baby.
