Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Cash, I want to see the pictures! I can't imagine I'll know any of them, but it's worth a shot...

OK, I've filled out a job application. Taxes this afternoon.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Apparently I filled out my taxes wrong. Thank dog for e-filing. I guess I didn't get that $250 stimulus thingy last year after all. Everything tidily refiled before work.

Does anyone have any recommendations for sturdy black tights? I usually buy Hue, but I have no idea if there are equivalently good opaque tights out there for less money. I need more pairs.

I only buy tights at discount stores, so they are Hue (or equivalent), but for less money. Filene's Basement is usually good for tights.

brillig

Yes, I am staying in a haunted hotel during a week when the town is full of people attending the annual chainsaw carving festival. What could possibly go wrong?

Wasn't that a Supernatural episode? Be on the lookout for handsome, scruffy young men asking odd questions.

And happy birthday to birthday girls!

We not got those out here. They seem pretty consistently $12.50 on the web. Just don't know if I can do better for the equivalent. Or what the equivalent is. They seem to be the cheapest sturdy-feeling tights at the department stores.

Marshalls or TJMaxx are often good. I even often find tights on clearance at reg dept store, but then it is usually textures or colors, not basic black.

Really? How about TJ Maxx? Anywhere that has "brand names for less" is what I mean. Most recently, I got a two-pack of Hue for $7.

Happy Birthday, Lillian!
