Spike: You pissed in the Big Man's Chair? That's fantastic! Gunn: Spike, can you please turn off that warm fuzzy? Spike: What, the Lorne thing? Worn off. I just think that's bloody fabulous.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Huh, so I just made up a fake car to get an online quote from Progressive and insuring even a really cheap car in Brooklyn would be almost $2000/year. I don't think I do enough driving for that.

Having a car is not cheap. If you don't need it to commute regularly, it is almost always cheaper to rent one when you need it. Plus, no maintenance issues!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Crap - I just ran out of checks! I write them so rarely I just wasn't paying attention.

I just realized I'm almost out too. I need to order some more. My checks are four years old, from when I first moved out here.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I thought I would feel that way about Lars, but ended up really liking it.

It left me entirely cold. I just didn't buy everyone's reactions. Couldn't connect with or sympathise with or cheer for a soul.

I have a million cheques. I ordered a new batch by mistake when I was 3/4 of the way through my last batch. Oops. Ah, well. My Batman goodness will last even longer.

Normally I don't wonder what my cheques make people think of me, but for my direct deposit setup with my contracting company they wanted a blank. Maybe they didn't look. I miss my JLA cheques, but the bank doesn't offer them anymore. It was nice to write a Wonder Woman cheque every now and again. But all Batman all the time isn't bad.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Lars and the Real Girl

I found the kindness of so many people to be really touching.

I think I've outed myself as failing on this front before. I don't even remember what the previous movie was. But in this one I didn't think they were right. Or realistic.

No magic for me!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

My cumin memory is the time my. Mom got up at like 5 in the morning to make homemade cinnamon rolls for my bro and friends the morning after prom. And in her half-awake state grabbed the cumin instead of the cinnamon. It wasn't until they were cooked and the scent of what my father declared Punjabi Rolls was wafting through the house.

Jessica, what's the parking like around you? That might be a bigger concern than insurance.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have Issues with chili powder because I forget that the bottle has a flip-top -- a bunch of my spices don't; you unscrew the cap, and the shaker is there. So I unscrew the chili powder and go to shake it into the pot. Except oops! I dump it all in, instead.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Where I live now, I can park free on the street. (Otherwise I'd never even consider owning a car.)
