I think I have a stress zit.

It seems the bag of a little bit of flour was actually baking powder!
Oh man.
I realized in the middle of making soup that I didn't have the right spices. I ran out of cumin, apparently. Why didn't I buy more?? The recipe called for cumin, tumeric, and cayenne, so I just put in chili powder, and am hoping for the best. I am not sure this is going to be good.
Huh, so I just made up a fake car to get an online quote from Progressive and insuring even a really cheap car in Brooklyn would be almost $2000/year. I don't think I do enough driving for that.
(OTOH, we qualify for USAA insurance, so we may be able to get a lower rate through them.)
I'm watching Lars and the Real Girl and I completely don't get it. It's not as "watch from the hall" as it was when it started, but it is replete with crazy people, and I don't feel for any of them. Am I just not nice enough?
ita, I had the same reaction. It was a toss-up whether I'd finish it or not (I did, eventually).

Ha! Any time someone mentions cumin, I think of the time my friend was making cheese enchiladas, and the recipe called for so many tablespoons of cumin, and she accidentally used cayenne pepper. So the enchiladas came out super-spicy, and I was the only one who could handle it, so I got dinner for a few days.
I thought I would feel that way about Lars, but ended up really liking it.
Crap - I just ran out of checks! I write them so rarely I just wasn't paying attention.

Having a car is not cheap. If you don't need it to commute regularly, it is almost always cheaper to rent one when you need it. Plus, no maintenance issues!

I just realized I'm almost out too. I need to order some more. My checks are four years old, from when I first moved out here.
