I love maps. The NC streets that curve this way and that and randomly change their names would completely befuddle me without maps. I was raised in the street grid-centric midwest, where a street name can continue as-is more than half-way across the state (Telegraph Rd.), rather than changing every few blocks (half the roads in Greensboro, NC, or so it seems).

They are home and she is just sobbing. I don't know how to comfort her on this. I tried to offer a hug and she shrugged me off and went to her room.
Aw, poor K-bug. So stressful!
The only thing I know about tinnitus is the radio commercial on my local station that is supposed to be an OTC treatment for tinnitus. Unfortunate name for the product, though--Quietus. I'm guessing no one from the company has ever seen Children of Men, since Quietus is the name the movie uses for the suicide medicine.
Got woken up this morning by a call from work. I'm one of a handful of folks who have special rights to one of our invoicing programs. The task I needed to do takes all of a minute to run and the gal who called was SO apologetic. But not the way I really wanted to start the day.
mac has refused to go to karate this morning. We have however avoided a big ugly meltdown. I overslept, so I need to now really get going with my day. We've gone out for coffee, got a card and gift card for a birthday party he has this afternoon, and went to the pharmacy to get a refill. His party is not until 1, so I have until then before I can really do anything productive.
I have to be at the bookstore by noon. Since I've only been getting one four-hour shift per week since Christmas, and not even every week at that, and with more homework-intensive classes starting this summer, I think I'll be turning in my two-week notice today. I'll miss the discount and the people there, but I need to be able to have my weekends free.
I am working, and have had two students tell me the following (paraphrased): "Professor D. said you had something in the library like a big binder with stuff in it, and we should just ask the librarian."
They have both been sure that Professor D. did not mean the books in the stacks on their respective subjects.

That's gorgeous, msbelle! But ... I thought Mac had a room, too?
He does, but we cannot list it as a 2 BR, because we never got a certificate of occupancy for it, nor did we pull permits and whatnot. The wall for his room may very well have to come down after we move.
