Burrell! Goddamn, you saw my Lisa's work. How fucking awesome is that?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That is pretty cool sarameg. I was telling my kids about you and where you work. What did your friend Lisa do with the movie?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

That is it, Megan. Nom. Will have to try it when Kelly is back in Colorado for the summer.

You didn't have the benefit of the intro, but all the bitty stars in the fly-throughs? She first removed them and then re-introduced them. They call her the Star Goddess in house. Zolt is Master of the Universe. (They are in the credits, which AWESOME.)

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Welcome to just about anywhere that isn't NYC, Jesse.

Hrmph. It's amazing how often I do things that aren't possible outside of NYC.

You mean when you fly past the stars and see the constellations move out of alignment? That was cool.

All the fly-throughs involving stars flipping past your head. She mapped them, removed them, let others do their thing wrt to making it 3D for the nebula and whatnot and then put them back for the fly through. Basically, if a star flew past you, my Lisa had a hand in that. And my former boss's husband did a lot of the other pretties. I'm really proud of them.

That was a great effect, sarameg. You can tell Lisa we likes it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't think I can make 3D Shuttle. The IMAX that made me sickest was the shuttle. Couldn't handle the discrepancies. II'll wave from over here.

Microwave in installed and testing. Am drinking hot chocolate that didn't involve the cute little had-to-be-washed hot chocolate pot. Those will get a lot less use. But they're cute.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

but I was on the phone anticipating every intersection and relaying directions

Aw, Suzi. Poor girl. I've had to do this same thing with my faux-niece when she was visiting. She insists she has a great sense of direction and refused to take a map with her to get around in a city she'd never been in before, and at least three times she ended up on the phone with me completely lost and unable to even tell me where she was. She disdains the reading of street signs, as well. My BFF told me, even if she'd taken the map, she wouldn't have been able to read it. I don't understand people who can't read maps.

Do any of you have experience with tinnitus?

java, for years and years. Mine is from working in really loud venues. Some days it's almost not there (like today!) and some days it's pretty loud and distracting. Actually, I'd be glad to get the sound of the ocean, mine is an multi-toned ringing buzz. I think that, based on my limited experience with other peoples' tinnitus, if the sound you have is like the ocean, it's probably caused by the blockage, not nerve damage or scarring, and will go away once the blockage is cleared out. Also? Earplugs, if you can wear them in the hurt ear.

javachik, I can't see your London Flickr photos. Sad. I'm zenkitty2003 over there, if you don't mind.
