We went into PetsMart the other day for cat food, and I wandered over to the cat adoption area. Mistake. There was a 16-month Siamese who immediately flopped on her side and put both paws through the cage towards me, chirping at me like I was a long-lost family member. Thank God PetsMart works with foster families, or there'd be another cat in this house. Shadow has enough stress as it is.

I've got 3. And when I lose Mister Kitty (I'm realistic. I, at best, have maybe another 3 years. But the vet and I are marking in half year increments now) I will still end up with 3. Because Loki likes other cats and Devi HATES him. So he'll need a playmate so as to not get any more Destructo-kitty.
3 is my limit. Especially with Devi the hater.
I need to take some neglected toys over to the shelter where I got Rosie & Gilda. I know I can't bring another one home because Gilda won't tolerate any cats other than Rosie.
Sunday I take her to the airport and then come home to try to clean up the joint.
And then I pick her up and take her to a belated birthday lunch and drive her to Alameda!
Tomorrow night I am going to drink too much and get annoyed with people who are getting annoyed at me for not paying enough attention to the "games" we are playing. Unless it's Boggle or Scrabble or something; then I'll pay attention.
Tonight I think I am going to see movie (solo) - either the new Tina Fey/Steve Carrell or Ghost Writer.
java - I'm jealous. I *LOVE* going to movies solo. Love it. My movie, my snacks, my armrests. And no having to rehash it after and I can sit and simmer in my own thoughts about it. Love it.

Ha! I like it too, which is a good thing, since my boyfriend lives in Boston. I like seeing movies with other people too, mainly comedies. I like to cry alone but laugh with someone else. Megan is a good movie date, as is Amy Garvey. They don't talk during the movie, but they're good at the sneaky side eye when needed.
aurelia, I sent you a message.

Quiddler is like Scrabble but with cards!
I don't mind seeing movies alone, but I do like having someone to deliver snarky comments to.

Ooooh, and with that, I've just decided I need to mainline my Arrested Development DVDs. Again.
I can't remember the last time I've seen a movie, solo or otherwise. And I have a whole stackful of DVDs that are still shrinkwrapped. Lately I don't have much desire for anything except some food and sleep when I get home. I left the office at 8:45 this evening, and that? IS. JUST. WRONG.
No! Say it ain't so. [link]
