java - I'm jealous. I *LOVE* going to movies solo. Love it. My movie, my snacks, my armrests. And no having to rehash it after and I can sit and simmer in my own thoughts about it. Love it.
Ha! I like it too, which is a good thing, since my boyfriend lives in Boston. I like seeing movies with other people too, mainly comedies. I like to cry alone but laugh with someone else. Megan is a good movie date, as is Amy Garvey. They don't talk during the movie, but they're good at the sneaky side eye when needed.
aurelia, I sent you a message.
Tomorrow night I am going to drink too much and get annoyed with people who are getting annoyed at me for not paying enough attention to the "games" we are playing. Unless it's Boggle or Scrabble or something; then I'll pay attention.
Quiddler is like Scrabble but with cards!
I don't mind seeing movies alone, but I do like having someone to deliver snarky comments to.

"I don't understand the question and I won't respond to it."
Ooooh, and with that, I've just decided I need to mainline my Arrested Development DVDs. Again.
I can't remember the last time I've seen a movie, solo or otherwise. And I have a whole stackful of DVDs that are still shrinkwrapped. Lately I don't have much desire for anything except some food and sleep when I get home. I left the office at 8:45 this evening, and that? IS. JUST. WRONG.
No! Say it ain't so. [link]
edit: A few Stellas are no excuse for bad spelling and grammar.
I thought I was going to have a nice quiet evening without the kids. Instead I get a call almost an hour after they left with Kelly crying that she is lost and doesn't know how to either get where she was going or get back home. Full on trauma time.
Thanks to Google they are almost home, but I was on the phone anticipating every intersection and relaying directions through CJ. I sat on my couch for all of it, but my heart is still pounding in empathy.
Java - don't mention this to her on Sunday unless she brings it up.

I won't. ETA: However, I do plan to bring up how she "rocked her shift" in the retail world!
I have to get ready for Owen's birthday party on Sunday. I need to figure out how to make a dozen dragon eggs for the kids to paint.
And bake some gluten-free cupcakes for one of his classmates.
Ugh, Suzi. That's nerve-wracking for both of you. Yay for teh interweb!
Cash, I have no idea what dragon eggs are, but they sound cool. And I can't believe Owen's having yet another birthday. The sprog need to stop sprouting.
They are home and she is just sobbing. I don't know how to comfort her on this. I tried to offer a hug and she shrugged me off and went to her room.
