Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

Our wings are not tired.

I have reserved my first Zipcar!

Even though it's three Muni stops away I opted for the Mini Cooper.

How does Zipcar work? Does a Mini Cooper cost more than other cars? I always wondered.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I didn't realize the extent of security camera coverage in Chicago. Or rather that so many systems were linked. [link]

Shit. So that stuff Hardison pulls is not that far-fetched, huh? Or at least the security cam stuff.

Feel better, Aims.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I think they set the rates differently in different cities, but in DC, a Mini Cooper is toward the middle of the price range. Something more boring is cheaper, but something big that can carry a bunch of stuff, like for going to IKEA, is more expensive.

At the time, I was living on a commune and had no tv. Missing the Simpsons was more traumatic for me though.

Naturally, with Twin Peaks the greater trauma would have been from not missing it.

Back a couple years after the show a friend of mine was on an airplane and looked over his seat back to discover that Frank Silva had the seat behind him. Boy, that was a relaxing flight...

Yeah, every car has a different price.

Here in SF, hybrids are the cheapest. They can be as low as $7. There isn't one in my lot though.

Regular cars are $10ish and sportier cars are $12-14 (MINI, BMW, Saab, etc.).

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Hybrids are on the cheap end in NYC too - makes sense, since Zipcar pays for gas.

Generally speaking, the more expensive the car, the higher the per-hour rate will be. (And the smaller the Zipcar logo, so if you rent a Lexus to impress your date, she won't immediately pick up that it's not your car.)

Huh. In Chicago, a hybrid tends to be a buck or two more than an economy, and a minivan or baby SUV another buck or two more than that. Either way, it's not a huge difference.
