Natter 65: Speed Limit Enforced by Aircraft
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Hmph. Girl first! And that is totally Ricci-as-Wednesday.
What upcoming events on the cultural calendar are you looking forward to?
The hardback Gotham Central: On the Freak Beat comes out June 15. And I actually made a note about that on my calendar. Mostly because I got tired of looking it up, but still.
Oh and then the Casanova rerelease may finally start in July, I guess? Which means volume 3 will finally finally start next winter. Sigh. That’s a lot of forward-looking.
I’m interested in seeing Kick-Ass, but interest doesn’t always translate into action. I am more likely to make an effort to see Inception.
...Mostly, this time of year I look forward to fall.
What is up with this girl getting a dragon tattoo and playing with fire and kicking the hornet's nest? She seems like a wild child.
Whoo! I love her. She is so broken and badass.
the Mexican translation of Dragon Tattoo is called Men Who Didn't Love Women, essentially.
Well, it WAS essentially about that very thing. but stronger.
OMG these Schipperke/Terrier cross pups are much too cute.
On an un-cultural tip, it looks like my ketamine infusion might actually happen, after about two years of back and forth about it. I'm looking forward to that, even if it does mean two days off work sitting on my ass, probably with no internet other than my phone and no TV.
Actually, it sounds miserable, down the K-hole. But maybe it will work.
Crossing my fingers, ita.
Good luck, ita.
Wasn't the Swedish title of the first "The Man Who Hated Women?" It was the Dutch title anyway. A friend of mine (Flemish) ended up reading it in a cafe in Provincetown filled, for some reason, with German lesbians. He was afraid he was going to get his ass kicked!
No TV in the hospital, ita? I hope it works, though, and it's easier to get through than you think.
