Pssst, Jesse, the library gets new books.
Sure, but if I was all worked up to read a new book NOW I'd still end up on some waiting list and blah blah blah.
Jesse, the new Jack Reacher is out and S. read it in two days. Loved it.
Hilariously, the one that is still new to me is the one before the new-new one! So that's good -- now I'm 3rd in line at the library.
Where's Scola today? Did he go out looking for a stoop? Did the Mets' loss break him?
Oooh! One of my co-workers bought herself a glitter eyeliner set from Too Faced, and gave me the pink/fuchsia one. She said she never wears pink, but knew that I would love it.
Did he go out looking for a stoop?
Ha! That's the first thing that he said when he saw my building "you have a stoop!"
I just reserved
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest
at the SFPL. I'm number 276 of 276 holds.
Relatedly, I was sad to learn that the French title of
The Girl Who Played with Fire
is basically "the girl who dreamed of gasoline and a match." Which makes me wonder what the Swedish actually is, because I think the English titles of the final two are so great at conveying multiple meanings.

The Girl Who Was Seen Fleeing the Burning Ikea Store Carrying a Gas Can.
What is up with this girl getting a dragon tattoo and playing with fire and kicking the hornet's nest? She seems like a wild child.
I am very excited about getting my library card at the Texas library. I can walk there from my house and it gets so much less use than the NY branch I use. I will probably get us both library cards within that first week.

She is. She definitely is.
