I'm trying my hand at making crock pot candles. [link] If it works out I may become that annoying friend who gives everyone candles they'll never use for every occasion.

P-C, what do you have in terms of kitchen equipment (pots, pans, knives, etc.)?
I have a large 3-qt pot and a small 1-qt pot. Along with a 2.5-qt pot, apparently. I have numerous frying pans, apparently a wok, a skillet, and a griddle. I have lots of knives and I don't know what they're all used for. One is really long and barely fits in the drawer. And the baking pan situation is dire.
It could be that just one or two more items could get you through most cooking situations.
That's why I suggested the Pyrex. I own two Pyrex (8x8, 9x13) and 1 cookie sheet. They last forever and these 3 items meet all my oven needs.
I also own 1 muffin tin and 2 madeleine tins, but I rarely use them.
Yeah, the 8x8 Pyrex would be good for anything (smallish) that you want to put in the oven, really.
I have a bigger one, and use it for anything from roasting chickens to making brownies. Useful!
You can also use the pyrex to make brownies, which are a very easy bachelor food: add water and oil to the mix and bake.
And 7 layer dip for parties! and tuna casserole and enchiladas...
I'll second Megan's rec on the pyrex pans and the cookie sheet. Cookie sheets have many more uses than just cookies. They make a good oven platform for things that might spill.

and TJ's heat and serve meals.
And those slice and bake pre-packaged cookies.
Plus, P-C, there's something very attractive about a man who cooks. It would be a very amusant selling point, to include your trials and tribulations in the cuttthroat world of bachelor meets baking goods world.
That's a really big deal--it's our version of the UN. Denying us access to our own in a time of crisis...peculiar.
ita, there was a bit on the NYT blogabout how MSF/DWB flight was diverted yesterday too. I guess the FAA are controlling who lands at the airport and it is prioritized as Search and rescue top, Military, second, humanitarian, third. [link]

Some aid agencies have complained their flights were redirected to enable Hillary Clinton to land. [...]
