We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

That may be reading a bit too much into it. I think 'family planning' == abortion for a lot of people. Contraception is collateral damage but may not be the target itself. Doesn't make it not bad, but I don't know that the fight is really against contraception.

Gud, did you follow the link? Boehner specifically mentions contraceptives.

‘How can you spend hundreds of millions of dollars on contraceptives? How does that stimulate the economy?’ House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) said of the provision, according to Reuters.

Stupid Boehner. More condoms=more sex=more dates=more money spent on food and alcohol. Amiright?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, but babies are so much more expensive. All those onesies and bottles! That's how we're going to get out of this rut!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Happy belated birthday, Stephanie!!!

Happy birthday, Amy!!

Clearly, 1967 was a very good year.

It was a FANTASTIC year. If I may say so.

Today has not started off well. Got to school and after all the heavy rain last night and this morning, my room is all floody. I'm displaced today and having to tote stuff all around the building. It sucks.

hip deep in pie

Happy Belated Birthday Stephanie! Happy Birthday Amy.

I just got home from Easter Weekend at my parents. Am having a diamond shoes are too tight moment, as I came home to a message saying that I had a massage at 5, but I am sure that it was rebooked for later in the month. The receptionist at my massage therapy place assures me it was not. I don't know why an unexpected massage annoys me so, but it does.

Also, those Scrabble rule changes bug me.

On the bright side, tulips in bloom, almost a month earlier than normal. [link]

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I note this for javachick's sake.

As I roused Matilda from bed she snizzled and complained and then cried when JZ left. So I calmed her by pointing out things in the room, and I pointed to the Dave Stewart (old A's pitcher) bobblehead and said, "That's Dave Stewart. He was a great pitcher. See the letter on the hat? That's his team. He's on the A's."

Matilda sniffed and rubbed at her tears and replied "We don't like the blue team." (The Dodgers)

Sorry DXM!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Pretty flowers! Everything suddenly blossomed here over weekend, too -- I guess a lot of rain followed by unseasonably warm weather will do that.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I am waiting for news. Could be good, could be bad. I just hate the waiting part. Makes me feel slightly crazy. I wish i was in bed, asleep, and then could wake up and the news is there in my email box, without all the painful waiting.

Having a tough time focusing on work. Stupid waiting.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

There are great flowers in KC right now. Everything just popped, and it's wonderful! Dogwoods, redbuds, tulip tress, forsythia, and all of the daffodils, tulips, crocuses...

It's really pretty. It's supposed to be sunny and about 72 on Friday. YAY.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

My office cubical window overlooks a wooded area. A gust of wind just blew up a cloud of pollen so dense it obscured the trees entirely.

I wonder if I could get a respirator delivered to my office before I leave work this afternoon?
