Glad to see a rallying.

So when I put on my swimsuit, really realized how much sun I got yesterday. Oops. Time to get used to the sunscreen routine again.

On the way to the pool, got to play with my neighbor's big yellow flabrador (she's chunky) at the unofficial dog park in the field. Such a sweet dog. No wonder everyone is volunteering to walk her. At the rate she has walkers/runners, we might not be able to call her flabrador after this summer. I like big happy dogs. Not enough to get one, but... she reminds me of a canine version of Loki. eta: that statement is hilarious to me. I named my cat after a coyote, indirectly. So apt.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

P-C- I am so glad you are picking up Hec. Hec and JZ, I am so sorry this suckitude is coming your way.

It looks like my office is going to be a new CSA drop off site for Angelic Organics: [link]

I could pay for a share myself, but I definitely won't be able to use all the vegetables. I need to ask around at the office to see if anyone wants to go in a share with me. (Unless there is an interested Buffista!)

I am aso looking for someone to share a CSA with at work. Unfortunately, I am not in Chicago.

There is still a Jack Russell terrier in the costume shop. It is unpleasant, and I love animals. My student spent her whole lab time today throwing a ball with the dog.

Unfortunately, I am not in Chicago.

I would totes share with you if you were! Man, if I sign up for this, I'll need to figure out what to do with beets.

I need to paint my nails tonight. It may be time for green.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Send me the details, since I'm about to reup with my current.

Sophia, I wish you were in Chicago for so many reasons.

And I had to make beets last week and they turned out awesome!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

There is still a Jack Russell terrier in the costume shop. It is unpleasant, and I love animals. My student spent her whole lab time today throwing a ball with the dog.

That's really unprofessional, and disruptive of the work environment. Are you in any position to ask this person not to ever do that again?

It could be a documentary. Give single women enough vegetables for a family of four. What will they do!?!?

If I ever move somewhere, I feel it would be to Chicago. It feels more like home to me than other big cities.

Zenkitty- I could ask her nicely to put the dog in the green room, and did ask her nicely to please leave the dog in the hotel, but in the larger picture it is not worth disturbing our working relationship (it is the costume designer's dog). I have this problem where I have no middle ground between asking nicely and losing my shit, and I don't want to lose my shit.

I love beets! Hot or cold. They are really good added to an Italian OLive Salad. Or with cottage cheese. Or just with vinegar. I loved them so much as a little kid that my pee kept turning pink, and they wouldn't let my mother keep me in day care, even when she explained the beets!

Only beets I've ever encountered are red pickled beets and I don't like 'em. I'm very tempted by the CSA where I can pick out my own stuff. We'll see (for next year.) I'm going through 1/2lb of spinach a week (and this week might be more,) and once tomatoes come into season, I can easily go through a couple pints of cherry and grape varieties...I live off greens, tomatoes and chicken salads in the summer. Hell, I live off them even in the winter. My diet may be rather repetitive, but tasty. Tonight's dinner was the beef empanada and a spinach, strawberry, tomato and gorgonzola salad in that nummy asian dressing.

...I've got to figure out how to make springroll filling to stuff in croissant pastry. It's nearly been a year since Kath, and still...I want.
