Bookmarked, tommy, thanks.
The thing is that until now, this car has been pretty sturdy and reliable and altogether good. Almost all the crazy costs have been because of stupid non-mechanical stuff - tickets we couldn't pay off, the busted window, the asshole who put a nail in our tire. As a car, it's been pretty good (also a good 10-15 mpg better than the last car, which has been fantastic), and if this is fixable it'll probably last another couple of years.
Also, I accidentally left my air conditioner in New York, so I guess I'd better get a new one soon, before it actually gets hot, huh? OY.
tommy, Joe thanks you greatly for the coffee link from earlier. He's currently salivating over the many beautiful espresso machines on that page.
Today is supposed to be business formal dress at work, and I fucked up. Dammit. Totally spaced.
It's raining in Bakersfield, and my raincoat and umbrella are in the car six blocks away.
I'm waiting for the concierge to run up to me in the lobby and give me a wedgy to make my day complete.
Also, my phone has run out of charge because the only charger I thought I'd need on this trip is the one in the car.
Ahhh, life, you have a capricious sense of humor.
So the funny scale of suck today is that I am
hoping
that my car has a blown head gasket instead of a broken engine block.
The smoke is definitely coming out of the tailpipe.
Okay, I'll quit whining now. I'll head out to Pep Boys soon, then circle over to Wells Fargo to cash my tour bus check.

Check at the front desk of the hotel. They generally have a box of chargers behind the desk that people have left behind... I've gotten a spare charger twice that way.
Hope your day improves from here, Hec.
Pac-Man: The Movie Trailer
A parody. But this looks better than most movie versions of video games.
The movers are gone and now I have a very, for me, cleared out house. PLUS all the upper shelves in my closets are now empty and storage under my bed is mostly clear, so as I start to pack up more things I will have places to out them that are out of sight. IOW, YAY!
Pharmaceutical people: Is there a database or other source that will tell you how many/much of a particular drug is sold outside the US? We already know the drug in question is not sold in the US yet.
