Okay, who else can rock this quiz like I did?
I had to guess on three of them, but I guessed right.

Huh. "Lentil pate" sounds way more appetizing to me than chopped liver, mock or not. And that's aside from the fact that no, cookbook dumbasses, they're totally not the same thing.
I've seen basically this same recipe in several different cookbooks, and it's always called mock chopped liver or vegetarian chopped liver. My father says it does taste like chopped liver, but a bunch of people who don't like chopped liver do like this.
I'm coming to the conclusion that lentils are the tofu of the bean world. (Except that soybeans already sort of are.)
Timelies all!
Other than running some errands, I have no plans for the weekend.
Oh yeah, I've totally had that mock chopped liver. And I have little or no interest in real chopped liver.
I'm also in Iowa.
ChiKat! Where? (Kermit waves from Cedar Rapids)
ION, this afternoon vanished during my "short" nap!
Mmmm, chopped liver. Fortunately I was already planning on having chopped liver for dinner so I don't have to curse you all for awakening my desire.
Mock chopped liver is also good, but I am having the real stuff. Well mostly real stuff. I add quite a bit of mushrooms because I like them.
Speaking of coming out (we were, weren't we, way back when), apparently Anna Paquin has come out as bi in a PSA for a GLBT equality campaign.
liese! I still think you should come and visit us. I almost bought Stanley Cup tickets as an enticement.
Ooh! That would be an enticement. I want to come. I just have no idea when it would be.
Plus, the trip I'm spending money on is next weekend. I talked about it in another thread, but I'm going to "Becoming An Outdoorswoman" put on by the Arizona Wildlife Federation. It's like camp for women, where I can learn stuff like orienteering or shotgun or archery or birdwatching or dutch oven cooking. It's all set up so you can learn in a non-threatening environment stuff that might be a male-dominated field otherwise. There's even like a workshop where you learn stuff like using the bathroom in the woods and one where they talk about gear marketed to women, like figuring out if they just made an item pink and called it women's or if it has real features that are helpful, like backpacks fitted to a female body.
I've been meaning to go for over a year but finally saved up enough to do it. I cannot wait.
I am waiting to get my hair cut and watching workmen install some kind of statue in the middle of the room.
