I took Friday off to wrangle my mother. On the upside, maybe we'll garden.
Our local hipsterish coffee shop ( [link] ) has Elvis donuts - peanut butter, banana, and bacon. I've never had one, though - I can never pass up the red velvet with chocolate icing.
I took Friday off, because I'm a guest at our local SF/F con, and Friday involves three or four panels and a tea party.
(That's how they convinced me to be a guest this year. "We'll throw you a tea party!" As bribes go, it's not bad.)

Norwescon 33, and I'm on just about everything for the Goth track. (Go figure.) Norwescon is my "home" convention in that I've attended it off and on for YEARS. There will be many people I like there. There will also be some people I will actively avoid and ignore, but oh well.
On the other hand, the state holiday makes me schadenfreudful at watching MIL try to figure just why she hates it.

I don't have Friday off, but I am leaving early and hopping on a train to visit the family.
We're taking Abby to her first con this weekend: Sakuracon. She's very, very excited and is contemplating wearing kitty ears to commemorate the event.
