March has totally sucked rancid donkey cock.
However, as we were all gathered around the car and I was sweeping out the glass, and JZ was cleverly fashioning a new window out of a clear plastic quilt case and tape and Emmett and Matilda were sitting on the sidewalk watching I did use it as a Teachable Moment with Emmett.
I mean, he sobbed hard about losing his DS but only for about fifteen minutes. And I just said, "This sucks, but sucky things happen and you deal with them. Matilda's fine, you're fine. All limbs are intact. Sometimes you get big random checks in the mail. This is not one of those days."

My new pet peeve: being informed while on a trip that my meal allowance is being cut IN HALF. Seiously, WTF!? Also, grrr. And, booo. One of the other major companies has a similar meal allowance to what I've just been told--but it's a per diem, which means they get cash and can spend or not, and spend more one day and less the next etc. Very different. Grrrr.
