My new pet peeve: being informed while on a trip that my meal allowance is being cut IN HALF. Seiously, WTF!? Also, grrr. And, booo. One of the other major companies has a similar meal allowance to what I've just been told--but it's a per diem, which means they get cash and can spend or not, and spend more one day and less the next etc. Very different. Grrrr.

Well, I don't think Andrew Sullivan deliberately posts dumb, baiting reader emails to bring traffic. OTOH I am completely befuddled as to why he thought it was worth posting. So maybe he did want to start a discussion about implicit misogyny, but it's weird that he didn't comment as much.
