Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My current work pet peeve is that I'm not there. I'm working from home, but I still don't like it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I can't think of any pet peeves at work. I could complain about when I do a bunch of work and the client decides not to use what I did, but we still get paid so it's not a big deal to me. So my biggest work complaint would have to be lack of restaurants at our location.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Pet Peeve at Work:

My biggest one right now is I Don't Have A Job.

Though I'm also reminded of Matt Groening's work complaint, "They make me do stuff I don't particularly want to do."

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Barbara Walters is shaking her head thinking, "I gave him every opportunity to say something when I interviewed him."

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Urgh. I woke up a bunch of times last night. (The power went out on our street about 9:45 last night, and came back on around 1 am. That was one. Other times involve the cat)

Passover starts tonight, and we are going to G's mom's house for seder.

Who wants to get their geek on?

Here's a fascinating article about the distinction between Babbage's Difference Engine and his Analytical Engine and why the Analytical was the revolution that didn't happen.

Though the most interesting part to me was the whole universe evoked of Mathematical Committees in charge of creating vast mathematical tables.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I really thought he had done that already.

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

It's a surprise to me. Not that he's gay, of course, but I figured he'd go to his grave like Liberace, with everyone knowing but no actual public acknowledgment.

Today just got better. I just got a package of free clothes from Lip Service! mmmm, new black and pink striped clothing.
