Trudy! Hello, pretty lady.
Well, we bought a Prius.
Great. That should be a big help with the mileage.
I wouldn't have picked that outfit for Venus, but can't argue with her skillz.
I want to know why Baltimore City College's tower [link] has one corner taller than the others. I see it everyday (visible from the end of my street) and it makes me crazy, the lack of symmetry, without knowing WHY.
This is actually K-Bug's second birthday away, but this one seems harder on both of us.
Venus's dress is...interesting. But I haven't been following tennis much, so I don't know how far off the norm it is.
Congrats on the Prius, Stephanie.
We had a demo team demonstration at a "Momporium" today. It was a big event with booths run by mom's. Everything from direct sales folks such as Mary Kay to individuals who have some special skill/item. Our dojo is run by a mom, so we had a booth with a big open area behind it and the team did different forms. They were loud and drew a bunch of attention. We even had some kids come in and learn the first basics. It was fun.

Mine will be two hours away so I am wondering if a drive up for dinner is too "omgmomyourembarrassingme". I should probably just let it go.
Orly Wild Wisteria. I found it at CVS.
Aw, happy birthdays to Noah and Grace, and of course, K-Bug.
I never liked boy bands much, but I was addicted to Monkees reruns on television.
We finally sent to see Alice in Wonderland. General consensus was it was visually gorgeous, as to be expected, great musical score, as to be expected, Depp was fabulous, but overall, story lacked coherence. It was like a series of somewhat disjointed vignettes that depended on the viewer having a prior familiarity with the original story.
Then we went to The Ram for dinner and I had fabulous fish and chips and a beer batter Wisconsin cheddar dip. Nom.
Thanks, brenda.
We've skipped Alice so far, but S. took Sara to see How to Train Your Dragon today and said it was fantastic.
A very happy birthday to the adorable twins Noah and Grace! I will meet them before they turn 4, dammit!
And I will see K-Bug on Tuesday when I give her a ride to the airport, so can wish her a happy birthday week in person.
It was gorgeous today, and I finally had the energy to get outside and enjoy it. Dogs are the best excuse to get out, they really are.
Tomorrow is brunch with -t and Perkins out in Suisun City!
ETA: I have got to laugh: you know when you've been friends with someone on Facebook for over a year and they just now make a comment on a picture of your dogs (and you guys know me, The Wigglebutts are *always* all over Facebook) asking "Are those your dogs? They're gorgeous"? That's a very good hint that until now you've been hidden in their feed. :) I take no offense, I just find it funny.
