The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Huh. I hadn't realised that The Hump closed in the wake of the whale scandal.

huh

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't have a favourite sushi spectacle/restaurant anymore...

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Huh. I hadn't realised that The Hump closed in the wake of the whale scandal.

I saw that a couple of days ago. On CNN maybe? I meant to post it. I guess I forgot.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Scrappy, I hope it goes ok tomorrow.

I just finished writing out invitations for Owen's birthday party to hand out to his class. They're going on Spring Break next week so I had to get them out tomorrow.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

good health vibes to Bob, and I think someone else needed them? too tired to scroll back

You're a better mom than me. I have decided to just evite the desired guests just to make it easier on myself. Also? Egad, need to plan 5yo birthday party. He has very definite ideas about who to invite and what to do, too.

I don;t even know where to start finding a new cool sushi restaurant.

Recommendations? Scandalous vicarious experiences much recommended.

“Not dead yet!”

And in tonight's ::headdesk:: moment, this was brought to my attention:

Children's:
Young Adult
Walter Dean Myers's CARMEN, a retelling of the Bizet opera set in Spanish Harlem in which a teen with a fiery temper wants the one boy she can't have, with deadly consequences, to Regina Griffin at Egmont, by Miriam Altshuler of Miriam Altshuler Literary Agency.

I'm either a trendsetter or utterly fucked.

I'm going to go with trendsetter.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, sheesh, Barb. Yeah, let's work with trendsetter. Hmph other people. You are not as good as our barb!

Today I was driving down the highway, reflectively, as one does. And suddenly all the cars I was seeing were like little nailpolish swatches. Seriously, y'all, lots of car colors are great polish colors.

Randomly, I blame Plei. But it's pretty much all y'all.

ION we picked up the new intern/partner/housemate and he's a good traveling companion so far. And it turns out he likes hockey, which we did not know because we've always talked music when we hung out before. So that's a check in the win column already.

I am up too late now, because I am two time zones over already! But zonkered from the road, so I should pass out soonish. Hotel waffles tomorrow!

The status is NOT quo.

Brain! Shut up and let me sleep! Seriously, dude.
